Stephanie Urbina Jones & The New Madrids main stage Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival Aug 4 2016.
This all started in The House Concert European Hub & Flyinshoes Review show-case room at Folk Alliance International 2015, an artists was late so Stephanie who was in the audience and was introduced on stage by the previous artist our friend Phil Lee to do some sha na na’s, filled in and blew Mairi Maclennan Les Cowley Davy Cowan Kathy Sisson (Kathy Queen Of Scots) and I and the rest of the room away. We all combined to take her over for Americana Cavalcade at Perth Racecourse and Tom Morton & The Billy Sloan Show picked up on her for BBC Music Day, (she appeared with Donovan & Justin Currie) the great Dave Cash BBC Radio Kent proclaimed that “what Country Music is needing is some great new Tex Mex Music and Stephanie Urbina Jones was that”.

On that first trip she also met Scottish hot shot Country Soul giants The New Madrids who were headlining Americana Cavalcade and they pledged to do some more shows together, and what a show ! As well as this show they sold out Scotland’s best Club venue Inchyra Arts Club and we recorded and filmed the show in front of a rapturous audience (soon to be a live album) .
